Knitting pattern request and knitting help?

im looking for a sock pattern with the feather and fan design on it. I can only use two needles. im knitting a pair of socks at the moment. 4 ply wool and 3mm needles. Im a fairly tight knitter so what size needles should i go up to? Thanks Margie

The lady who wrote this pattern on to the site she put it on said she uses 2mm needles but do a tension square first and see whether you need to go up or down. You can then try out the tension square with the different sizes of needles.

One problem with this pattern is it's american and it does not specify the type of yarn other than saying sock yarn. I'd say it would probably be 4ply though as anything heavier wouldn't really be comfortable in a sock.
