And at the time i understood however i just started and i cast 47 stitches and knit on row with the same ball then pearled with the other one but now i cant figure out what to do. the yarn that i need to knit with is on the other side.... do i cut it and start again??? please help

  1. At one time I did a lot of spinning and dyeing.  I found that it was easiest to avoid awkward colour changes by knitting practically the whole sweater in one piece.

Mrs. Zimmerman - the guru of knitting, I think - gives very clear instructions how to do this in most of her many books.

Once you try working on flexible double-pointed needles, you'll get hooked!

  2. Yes, you'd need to cut the yarn at the end of every row, but that would sure leave a lot of loose ends to weave in!

Why not try using one ball of yarn to knit a row and purl a row, then use another to knit and purl the next 2 rows.  You could carry the yarn up the side of your work that way, and it should blend the two yarns fine.

  3. try working 2 rows from 1 ball then 2 rows from the other this should solve your problem as you will end up at the same end each time - remember not too pull too tightly when carrying up the yarn at the side of your work.

  4. I've done it and it is a lot of work ,but you have to cut the yarn no matter what .You also need to be sure that you weave the yarn ends very neatly . Just take your time and enjoy it .The finish product should be worth the effort .Have fun!.
