Knockcroghery, the one to beat in the Follow Tramore On Facebook Handicap
It seems that twenty-one runners will aim for the victory in the Follow Tramore On Facebook Handicap - which is due to take place at Tramore on 2nd June, 2012.
Run over a distance of 1 mile and 6 furlongs, the surface at Tramore has been labelled good to firm.
Knockcroghery, the chestnut mare, is one of the best runners on the track, who has blossomed in her last two starts.
With a fifth place finish in her seasonal debut, she quickly made headway and secured a placed position in the Owenavarragh (Q.R.) Maiden at Wexford on 19th May, 2012.
Paired with rider, Mr. D. Skehan, the five-year-old runner stood third, and finished 3 ¼ lengths behind the runner-up.
The daughter of Pelder, out of mare She´s Wonderful, maintained the same composure in the Friday Evening Racing Hurdle at Cork on 25th May, 2012, and secured third place again, this time she finished 4 ¾ lengths adrift of the
winner.
Owned and trained by John W. Nicholson, the mare has all the potential in the world and with a little luck and effort; she can make her way to the top.
The J.F. O'Shea trained, Gudnis Gracious Me, started her season with an incredible performance, by landing the second money in the Toals Bookmakers Dial-A-Bet 90321721 Hurdle on 25th March, 2012, at Downpatrick, with odds of
11 to 2.
Jockey S.G. McDermott brought the best in her as he guided her well finish second, 6 lengths behind the winner, Dirar.
The daughter of Mull Of Kintyre, out of mare Atisayin, pulled up in the Riverfest May 5th Hurdle in April, 2012, but came back strong in the Elvis Tribute Show Mares Hurdle at Downpatrick on 11th May,
2012, with a finish in fourth place.
The bay mare has triumphed six times in her career, and she may be able to bag lucky number 7 in this race.
Odds are tilting more in favour of, Knockcroghery, who has shown consistency along with rapid progress in her last three starts.
