Question:

Knott's Scary Farm Haunt - Advisable For Kids?

I am planning to bring my 6-year old son to the Knott's Scary Farm Haunt this year (Oct 2008), but saw on the official web site (haunt.knotts.com) that kids below 13 years old are not advised to attend.

Does anyone know if there're kids who attend anyway and still enjoy it? Or would I look like a moron if I have my kid in tow? He's not easily scared.

  1. I would not take a 6 year old, it is scary

  2. I went back when I was around 12-13 years old.  Unfortunately, that is longer ago then I care to admit.  From what I remember of it, the only real difference was that all of the staff were dressed up in scary halloween costumes.  And that may have changed since then, I don't know. You might try taking him to a local haunted house first, see how he handles flashing lights, loud noises, people in costumes jumping out at him, that sort of thing.  If he enjoys that, I'd say go ahead with Knott's Scary Farm, but be prepared to leave early if it starts getting to him.  Wish I could be more help.

  3. some kids are quite mature at very young age and some kids and teenagers are childish.

if your kid is smart and mature, you can buy this game.

if your kid is childish, there is no point in buying that game. these may effect the psycology. so better choose some other cool game.

you can buy pirates of the carribean or some other equally cool games.

    so best of luck.
