Hallway can be seen from dinning room and living room. It is sage green. Furniture is mohogany and forest green. Carpeting is burber with specks of green gray with light background. I'm thinking of painting kitchen gray but struggling with what color to paint living room. What do you think?

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

How about a faux finish? I think something like "rattan shade" (# 7164) from their SoftSuede collection would look terrific - and very dramatic.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  2. I would stay with the green family. Go to a home decor center and find a color matching chart which will include your sage green. I have also painted knotty pine paneling, used an off white/lt. grey...looked great.
