Know a good restaurant in Boston or Cambridge MA where they prepare the food right in front of you?

Like a Japanese steak house or something. My date likes steak or BBQ chicken etc...She technically does not like seafood, but if there's steak she won't mind.

The best Teppanyaki restaurant in town (Bisuteki on Memorial Dr, Cambridge at the Radisson) is currently undergoing renovations. For a unique experience, have you considered a Shabu-Shabu type place? Shabu-zen is a great place for a fun night. It's always really busy and it is in Chinatown so parking can be a bit of a pain, but it's worth it .

Fire + Ice is a very popular choice with that type of Asian-themed cooking with you choosing your own ingredients and chefs cooking them for you.  There's one in Harvard Square (red line on the T to Harvard stop) and one in Boston (green line on the T to Arlington stop).
