Know any avi. converters?

I'd like to convert my Real Player videos to avi. format. I want to know if any of you readers out there know any free avi. converters? I don't want cnn converters... (those suck) i want good ones and free ones. Know any converters? Otherwise... do you know any way to download anime for free that are avi? (anything that dosent have to do with realplayer)

The best way to convert is don't use a freebie converter. They don't give you the best results.

I don't know freeware to convert rm video to avi,  my friends recommend
