I have a nice digital video recorder, but the software that came with it is DAGGAR!

I'm looking for stuff I can use to record music. I want to be able to record the sound on one track, paste it in and then sinc it to the video.

I can do that now, but the stuff keeps crashing when I change the start times and stuff.

I need a safe, free download. Thanks so much.

oh yeah....here's the only hurkting video I made (it sucks)...

  2. Well, you can be adding and moving audio track alongside of video track in Windows Movie Maker. And that is free and part of every windows installation. I do not think you need more functions than WMM offers, likely you would not even use all of them.

I don't like making DVDs in WMM, but for creating/editing video file for YouTube or e-mail, that is just perfect.

    Have fun

  3. Go to Apple.com and download Imovie it works on macs and windows and is AMAZING!!!! its free and can be simple or complex for experienced people.

  4. Windows Movie Maker is not an extra or a freebie.  It is part of the operating system install like WAV editor and Windows Media Player.  All 3 of these programs come with your Windows install and will meet your requirements.  They also work together.

The problem with Windows is that if you add an outside program, you run a bigger risk of having problems.  The programers of your third party downloads have no idea of all the possible configurations of the computers that their program will be installed on, so the programmers make the program compatible with the most common configurations or the default configurations - not a specialized configuration like your friend's computer.  These programmers also use different file formats and settings, so an audio file from one program may not work in the video editing program form another source.  This is why you are having issues.

If you have a problem with a third party download and their support is no help, then the only thing you can do is solve it yourself or remove the offending program and start all over.  At least with a windows program, most of the issues are eliminated or can be handled by the windows programmers.  Microsoft has their own media file formats, but you will be able to exchange them between WAV editor, Windows Media Player, and Windows Movie Maker without any issues.  You can even use Windows media files on YouTube.  The windows programs are the the best option for your situation.

If you really want a third party program, then get Quicktime Pro for $30 which will do very basic recording, capturing and editing.  Sony Vegas Pro and Avid's Pinnacle Studio are a little more advanced, and they are available for less than $100.  If you want professional power, move up to the more expensive and more capable Adobe Premiere Pro (and you will still need Quicktime 7 or better).

You can try one of the many free programs listed here http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=node/873 , but don't surprised if you have to return to Yahoo Answers because of an issue.

  5. use Wondershare WebVideo Author to edit my video. http://sameshow.com/webvideo-author.html

It's an easy-to-use tool. You can have a try without no progarming skills.

You can use it to split your videos and edit your videos such as YouTube video. Also, record webcam.

    Hope it helps.
