  1. The Slip In - where princess Mary found her prince. It's more of a beer garden - relaxing atmosphere, easy going music, no sleazy guys.


  2. Ask a cabbie to take you to Kings Cross.  It's a classy spot that has quite a few good Pubs.  From what I hear, it used to be pretty sleazy, but from a 2005 visit, it seemed to meet the expectations for a decent watering hole.  Also, the Water Bar is pretty good at 6 Cowper Wharf road.
