  1. Do you mean Freiburg i. Breisgau?

If yes,  Freiburg is a former mining town (silver, lead, zinc) and one of the mines if now an interesting museum:

Or perhaps you'd like to explore the surrounding Schwarzwald (Black Forrest)?: http://www.freiburg.de/servlet/PB/menu/1...

As far as food is concerned, here are plenty of links to suit the discerning palate:

Guten Appetit und viel Spass im schoenen Schwarzwald!

  2. Anywhere!! This is a great town, good food, good Bars, nice people.  I wish I was going with you!  I've got some good friends we met there, and they stayed with us here in the States for a visit several times.

We are planning a trip in September to go back.  Also, if you have a car there is lots of stuff to do and see in the area. (the train also works)

  3. if you mean Freiberg ( Saxony ) ,there is not much to see;the Dom maybe.

Different story if you meant Freiburg ( Breisgau ).There is lot to see.Muensterplatz with the Muenster. There are lots of restaurants and Pubs .A must do is to visit the Fressgasse,

lots of food (international and local ),like a food court.

Have fun and have a Rothhaus beer ( Tannenzaepfle ) for me,

    will ya ?

  4. Are you referring to Freib*U*rg i. Br. or Freiberg in the former east Germany? BIG difference!!! Freiburg is a college town with lots of cool clubs/bars to hang out in and also lots of parks and green areas.
