Know any good used car websites?

Question

I'm about to get my license and I'm unfortunately not going to get a used car from my parents, I need to buy one (they said they'd pay for some of it though). Anyway, I live on Long Island (so I need to get a car locally) and usually when I look up a website it has "cheap used cars" for about $7,000 to $13,000 and I am looking for a car that's about $2,000 to $3,000. Thanks for your help!

Craigslist is a great place to shop for inexpensive used cars.

{craigslist.org} & {autotrader.com} are good sites. With both you can look for cars by location and price. Autotrader.com offers a more detailed search though.

You can try taking a look at this website called AllTheRides (http://www.alltherides.com) or Appraisemycar (http://www.appraisemycar.com).

Might find something there or you can post up your question there too since it's it's autobased websites
