Know any good zombie movies?

I love movies about zombies and living dead. I looked some up on walmart.com and target.com but I dont know if their any good. So what ones do you like?

Now, why does everyone keep saying 28 Days/Weeks Later is a zombie flick? Technically they weren't zombies. 1. They were not dead but infected 2. They never ate anyone, hence they eventually died of starvation  3.You could kill them in various ways.

For classic Haitian-styled Zombies, I like the following:

"I Walked with a Zombie" (from the World War II era) is a great movie produced by Val Lewton and is arguably the finest "traditional" zombie story ever made. Many of the scenes have a very dreamlike quality, and this film will stick with you for a long time.

"White Zombie" (also from W.W. II and starring Bela Lugosi as a n**i zombie master) is a bargain basement production from the Halprin Brothers that does have some classic visual material but a pretty thin storyline. Amusing but not particularly frightening.

"The Serpent and the Rainbow" is a then contemporary movie from the eighties by Wes Craven, and is disturbing for both its depiction of traditional zombies (especially in a dream sequence) and of police corruption as a tradition in Haiti. Much better than the average horror movie from any era.

"Sugar Hill" a rare example of a blaxploitation horror movie with traditional zombies. Great fun with some wonderful visuals.

For George Romero styled flesh eating and walking dead zombies I like the following for one reason or another:

"Night of the Living Dead" (the original or the remake directed by Tom Savini) for the historical value of the original alone. It's very interesting to watch the original and the remake back-to-back.

"Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things," drive-in fair  from B film director/writer/actor/producer Alan Ormsby from the early 70s. One of the earliest imitations of the Romero styled zombies.

"Dawn of the Dead" (original version only) For my money, the best of the Romero zombie films. I love its sense of black humor about consumerism and its setting in a mall. Strong, shocking scenes in the beginning of the film might be a bit much for casual horror fans. I cannot recommend the remake although there are some who prefer it to the original.

"Cannibal Holocaust" is an excessively gory Italian zombie film which has the distinction of being banned in England as a "video nasty," one of several dozen non-British movies banned in the wake of public furor about American horror movies which had been imported as video tapes when video stores were new to England. There really isn't much justification for banning this film other than its excessive but not convincing gore. "Cannibal Holocaust" is attracting a cult following, and it is worth seeing if for no other reason than knowing that it is not as convincingly graphic as it is reputed to be, although I cannot recommend it for its storyline, acting, direction, or any other production value.

"Dead Alive" (by director Peter Jackson who is better known for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and the second "King Kong" remake) I recommend this odd black humor zombie film about a son who loves his mother even after she become a flesh-eating zombie.

"Land of the Dead" (by George Romero) An interesting blend of zombies and politics. Well thought out and with a good cast. A very good but not quite great horror movie.
