Question:

Know of any awesome karaoke bars in Los Angeles that offer private rooms or can be rented out for a night?

My mom's birthday is coming up in mid-October. My dad, siblings, and I want to throw her a surprise party and recently found out (from her) that she wants to do a karaoke night. So I figure, why not combine both, right? Anyway, I'd like to find a family-friendly place (as there are lots of kids in the family under 21 and I think they should be there to celebrate, too).

The ideal karaoke bar would offer:

- Original music (not the cheesy, oversimplified Magic Mic versions)

- Decent parking (not trying to make Grandma and Grandpa walk for days)

- Filipino music in the songbook (though I wouldn't mind if there was none...haha)

- Show tunes (my fam goes koo koo for that stuff)

None of that ^ is dealbreaking. If anything, I just want to find a bomb *** karaoke joint.

If anyone knows of possible locations, let me know, yo!

Thanks much. =)
