The best way to make your water ethical would be to drink tap (or filtered tap) and use the money you would use to buy bottled water and instead donate it to your favorite charity.  I'm not trying to be harsh here and try to be too critical, but it's just my $.02.  

But, the best other choice would be Biota Water, which is made out of corn plastic and can thus be composted, leaving no trace and no refuge in a landfill.  Website is http://www.biotaspringwater.com/bottle, but you should only buy it if you have a composter near you, and you can check to see if you do buy clicking on the link below and entering your state and then making sure the composter near you CAN "accept compostable plastic products (e.g. bags, plates, cutlery, cups, etc.)"  If you just throw it away, you get no benefit.
