  1. Kishore Biyani's retail shop not seen in any mall in Punjab,

neither I have heard about Kishore Biyani's retail shops.

Investment amount for opening a retail store in a mall, is any thing from Rs. 25 Lack to Rs. 125 Lacks, depending upon the mall you choose.

Rents are about Rs 250/= to Rs. 600/= per square feet, depending upon floor and location of shop you choose for your franchise.

  2. Dear Mr. Bawa,

You can open a retail shop in a Mall which belongs to some one else. You have to pay the rental charges and advance for the premises you take for rent. The rent is normally decided by square feet per month and the initial deposit depends upon the rent, which is normally 10 months rent.

The rent varies from place to place. The upmarket and in posh areas it costs more. Similarly the front portion, which faces the main road, costs more. Interior and the upper floors costs less.

I am not sure about the rental charges in Punjab. But approximately, you need any thing above Rs. 25 lakh.

    Good luck.
