  2. does canadion bacon come from canadia

  3. Looking in my curruculum guidance folder I believe this relates to the following stepping stones (SS) and Early Learning Goals (ELG).

Show curiosity and interest by facial expression, movement or sound (yellow SS). - Are the children smiling in the photo?

Show curiosity, observe, and manipulate objects (blue SS). - Are the children watching? Stirring?

Investigate objects and materials by using all of their senses as appropriate (ELG). - All of the above. Plus, did they eat the pancakes?

Show an interest in why things happen and how things work (yellow SS). - Did the children watch the mixture harden wen it was cooked?

Talk about what is seen and what is happening (Blue SS). - Did they talk about the pancake forming as it was cooked?

Show an awareness of change (green SS) - Did they know that a change took place because the pancake was cooked?

Ask questions about why things happen and how things work. (ELG) - All of the above.

Realise that tools can be used for a purpose (yellow SS) - Did they know an appropriate utensil to stir with?

Begin to try ouit a range of tools and techniques safely (blue SS). - Were they able to stir the mixture?

Use tools and techniques competently and appropriately (green SS). - Did they stir well?

Select the tools and techniques they need to shape, assemble and join materials they are using (ELG). - All of the above.

I think they're the relevant Knowledge and Understanding of the World ELGs and their related Stepping Stones. I'm a teacher in Year 1 now, but I used to be a nursery nurse and had key worker children so I know how you feel. Basically, most things they do relate to something. If you have photographic evidence that's great because it helps to jog your memory and can be used as evidence. I always used to put photos in their profiles for the parents to see which they loved. Good luck. I had to hand in all my class reports yesterday and it's a great feeling when they're all done!
