Knutmeg and Sunoak Rhea bring heat to the track in the Grade A1 Williamhill.com Stakes at Newcastle
Knutmeg and Sunoak Rhea will be racing as joint favourites in the Grade A1 Williamhill.com Stakes at Newcastle on 27th March, 2012. The six hounds in the 480m will be competing for £118.
Trained by A. Dawson, Knutmeg will be racing with the odds of 3 to 1. He is gaining popularity in the market based on his familiarity with the track, as he has raced at the Newcastle for his entire career.
The son of Hotshow Ben, out of Jackies Lady, secured a win in the William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes on 29th February, 2012, at Newcastle. He entered the race with the odds of 7 to 2, and defeated Stay Sane by a narrow
margin of a neck.
He finished last in the Grade A1 William Hill – The Home Of Betting, which took place at the same track on 3rd March, 2012. He finished the 480 metre track in 29.98 seconds, whereas Any Plans finished first in 29.16 seconds.
He may be able to grab the victory in today’s race, given he brings everything he has to the table.
Sunoak Rhea also enjoys the same benefit as Knutmeg does, as she has raced at Newcastle for her entire career. The daughter of Hades Rocket, out of Precious Beauty, finished first twice aiming for a hat-trick, but this consistency was broken by a finish
as a runner-up. With three consecutive placed finishes, she may be able to bag this one.
Trained by R. Kirk, the black b***h has been showing progression on the track as her form is improving. She succeeded over, Myella Duke, by ¾ of a length in the Williamhill.com Stakes on 10th March, 2012 with winning time of
29.80 seconds.
She entered the William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes with the odds of 5 to 1 on 15th
March, 2012, this time defeating, Stormy Glen, by 3 ¾ lengths in 29.47 seconds.
She finished as a runner-up in the Bet On Your Mobile At Williamhill.com Stakes on 22nd March, 2012, where she fell 1 ¼ length behind Leaders Princess. In this race, things are definitely looking up in her favour.
Ultra Musicman will be entering this race with odds of 7 to 2, looking to claim a placed finish in this race. The son of Ballymac Maeve, out of Wordsandtune entered the Grade HP William Hill – The Home Of Betting on 22nd March,
2012 as the favourite with the odds of 6 to 4, and managed to defeat, Reiver Bell, by 2 ¼ lengths.
It seems that the real battle will be between Knutmeg and Sunoak Rhea, but between the two of them, Sunoak Rhea looks in much better shape. She may take the lead and win in this race, leaving Knutmeg to finish second, whereas Ultra Musicman may finish
in third place.
