  1. Hi,

I watched the admiral's 71 point game and it was a bit of an embarrassment for the other team. Robinson needed a huge scoring game to win the scoring title for that year so he got all the touches from his team. Most of his shots were layups as opposed to Kobe taking double teamed long range jumpers. Not to take away from the Admiral but that game was a bit of a hoax and the other team had nothing to play for as it was the last game of the season.

  2. Robinson is a center. He gets points around the rim. Kobe took JUMPSHOTS. Man why you guys always gotta hate on Kobe's performances? Look at you, you can't even make a layup dude. Seriously.

Yeah, right. You just can't accept that Kobe had a better perfromance and that you wish you could score 81 but you never will. Too bad, couch potato.

  3. Well, I don't care for Kobe's 81 points. I believe he can score 50 points on a team if he hogged the ball, but 81 points is overdoing it.

  4. In my opinion it goes to David Robinson. Kobe's the best in the game now, and for a current game thats the best there has been in a long time. but Robinsons game to me is more impressive (he was playing a better team too)

  5. Kobe's 81. As has been said, Robinson needed like 50 to clinch the scoring title, so his teamates gave him the ball nearly every time. Nothing was at stake in that game against the Clippers, it was a blowout and Robinson put up huge numbers. I'm not hating on Robinson, thats just the facts.

In Kobe's game the Lakers were down by 15 or so in the third quarter and Kobe brough them back all by himself. As the Laker lead grew, Phil Jackson kept Kobe in because he was on fire and ended up with 81, the second most in NBA history.

  6. Both are spectacular performance! Robinson's 71points performance earned him the scoring champ title that year. Kobe Bryant's 81points outburst solidified his best player status in the league. I like 'em both. But if your gonna let me choose only one, its Kobe's performance. No doubt.

  7. Kobe Bryant because he is a guard, David is a center thats over 7 feet. He has a clear advantage. Kobe made incredible moves and shots to score his points. Also, Kobe scored 56 in 3 qrts against Memphis one time.

  8. I never saw that game which involved Robinson but at times during the game against Toronto Kobe got double teamed and instead of passing to his teammates he forces the shots. Kobe could have shot better that game if he didn't force those. I think he was very selfish that game, other than that 81 points really is better.

    2EZ!!

  9. Robinson's 71 came in the last game of the season with every single teammate trying to get him the ball so he could beat shaq for the scoring title , the spurs didn't need to win they were already in the playoffs so their only focus was to get robbo the scoring title   , so although it's still an amazing feat most people remember the lengths his teammates went to to get him the ball which is why most people don't rank it up there with Kobes 81

  10. The difference is that Robinson passed and Kobe didn't.

  11. lol the 2006 raptors were a mediocre team

  12. KOBE BRYANT

    Less Minutes

    More Points

    More steals

Rebounded and Blocked And That isn't even HIS JOB

But That Doesnt Mean That His Number is Bad He Did A Great Job

And He Is The ADMIRAL of The NBA

  13. 81 is more than 71 !!
