Kobe Bryant receives an offer of $600,000 per game from the Italian club Virtus Bologna: NBA News
Los Angeles Lakers ace shooting guard Kobe Bryant has been one the most distinguished players on the face of the earth for more than a decade and he maintains his recognition to this day.
Anyone who thinks that Bryant’s splendid career and marketable standing will receive a downfall in the coming years as a result of an aging body, can refer to the most recent deal which is offered to the five-time NBA Champion
and 13-time NBA All-Star Kobe.
The 33 year old Kobe Bryant has been offered approximately $600,000 (exclusive of all taxes) per game by the Italian club Virtus Bologna. The owner of the Italian Club Claudio Sabatini himself broke out the news through the Italian
League website stating
‘I am the GM’ which suggest that the ball is now in Bryant’s court.
The offer made to the Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant is for through 13th November and for home games. According to the Virtus Bologna’s schedule, the team have three homes games lined-up.
A proposal was expected from the Italian Club as the Claudio Sabatini previously indicated that he is looking forward to sign the heartthrob of Los Angeles Lakers. However what Sabatini didn’t indicate before was the amount of
money he is willing to pay to have the future Hall of Famer on board. Apart from the salary, Claudio did mention the way he has planned the insurance of Kobe.
“I am studying a new solution to pay his insurance game-by-game. When we play away, if our opponent is not willing to share the (cost for) the game, I won't pay the insurance for the player and I will keep him in Bologna.” Claudio
Sabatini said.
Kobe Bryant is slated to take home $25,244,000 with the Western Conference elite Los Angeles Lakers in the next season. Considering the 82-game regular season, Bryant is going to make $307,854 per game with Lakers which is about
half of what he will earn with the Italian club Virtus Bologna.
All eyes are now on Kobe Bryant as to how he responses to the huge offer that has been made by Sabatini. The question is that whether Kobe Bryant will relinquish a slated 25 million dollars a year till 2014 or will he risk the
chance of a sixth NBA Championship ring in the next NBA season. This is something Kobe Bryant knows better.
However, one thing is for sure that if Kobe Bryant decides to shift his talent somewhere else, then this will not be the only big offer waiting.
