The few NBA players that have gone to the Euro leagues go because they will get paid far better even if their an average player in the Nba they have a good chance of becoming stars in Europe. Euro players cant compete with NBA players. As for Kobe and Lebron they are saying these things so that they can gain some leverage when they become free agents the can sort of tell a NBA owner if you dont give me XXXXXXXXXXX amount of money then I'll just go play in Europe for more money. They have no real interest in playing for euro leagues.

i have heard that lebron would go over sea's if he was offered 50 million a year or more but i havent heard of anything from kobe
