Kobe bryant overated?

ok so kobe has 3 rings who cares i hate when people judge players based on their ring if ai had 6 rings right now who would yall say is the better player kobe fgot those rings because of shaq in 2001 if lakers didnt have shaq id bet $1000 kobe would have got raped by iverson in a 4-0 series im not saying iverson is better than kobe currently but in his prime he was better than kobe i do beileve kobe is the best player in the world but i also beileve he is overated if shaq didnt get drafted by the lakers kobe would have 0 rings right now and besides iverson led sixers all the way to finals by him self with a s**+tty team and stil pulled a upset in game 1 kobe had shaq so if kobe had 0 rings right now and iverson had 3 rings who would be better iverson or kobe? if iversons not afraid to drive on shaq hes definately not afraid of kobe if iverson was traded to pistons,celtics,rockets,spurs he would have a few rings right now dont u think so if he can drive a crappy team to playoffs/finals

Before anyone can take your question seriously, you have to get your fact straight.  SHAQ WASN'T DRAFT BY LAKERS.

Edit:  LOL@Saladfinger12.  If you want to make up excuses why not just say that Kobe, Odom and Gasol  was bought off by the Celtics.  To say West was tougher and Lakers was tired is a boatload of c**p.  FYI, the two best team last year are from the East.  Also Celtics played more games in the playoff then Lakers.

As a Spurs fan, I can't stand Kobe Bryant.  I don't like him personally and think he represents a lot of what is wrong with professional sports.  But in all fairness, no, I don't think he is overrated.  He is clearly one of the two or three best players in the game right now.

Don't blame Kobe for Iverson  not being a winner.One has nothing to do with the other.

Players in the NBA don't care how ppl see them.They only care about how they see one another.A championship ring is the ultimate

goal.Having rings backs up a players greatness.

If you don't think so just look what it did for KG.Iverson will go down as just another great player that never reached his goal of winning a title.Saying Kobes overrated after reaching his goals would not be very smart.

When players retire ,Other players don't care about there stats !!Its about the Rings !!Maybe great player with great stats that don't have rings ,Should wear a shirt with there life time stats on the back?

I'm sorry but Kobe is a great defender.  If you payed close attention during the finals Kobe did not guard Peirce in order to conserve energy, he maybe guarded him a few plays each game.  People say that Kobe had a great team in this last finals but in reality they aren't great.  Pau Gasol is weak in the paint, so getting Bynum back next year will help greatly.  Also he has no starting point guard and Lamar didn't show up either.  Don't forget that he plays in the Western Confrence which at the moment is one of the most competitive confrences of all time, so they were worn out by the time they even got to the finals, and the Celtics played a bunch of S****y teams.  Kobe isn't overrated but you can't beat 3 superstars with 1.

Actually Kobe's team on paper was good but on the court,they weren't.I mean Derek fisher was just another old veteran point guard that could shoot 3's,he wasn't a rajon rondo type player in the finals.James posey made Lamar Odom look like kwame brown in the finals pau gasol got pussied by Kevin garnett, and vuyajic was the only one that showed me improvement.and no one stopped Kendrick Perkins .But come on.there the Celtics Paul pierce,Ray Allen,and Kevin Garnett,three future hall of famers...rajon rondo was to much to handle and kendrick perkins is to much of a beast.Kobes team wasnt C.R.A.P but the celtics were definitely a better team on paper and on the court
