Pippen took the Bulls to the conference finals the year after Jordan retired but couldn't defeat the Knicks. Pippen was at his prime both offensively and defensively. But in comparison, the talent of the Lakers last year is better but the Bulls team was a better overall team and they were used to winning which carried over from the previous years. But Pippen couldn't do it without Jordan.

Pippen had a much better suporting cast  he had the greatest player ever in the backcourt and u forgot rodman the rebounding/defensive/fighting/ball kicking machine and grant also was in rodmans mold as a defender tho kobe has a pretty good supporting case note that only gasol has been an all star and he played all 6 minutes of that game and fisher is gettting old odom is very inconsistent and farmar still needs time 2 develope.  i think this lakers squad will do well but not 2 3peats
