  1. in order i would choose these players

1 - shaq - his record speaks for itself. hes had the best career and been the most dominate player (in his prime out of these players)

2 - Duncan - he earned his rings

3 - kobe - best player currently, still young and has plenty of time to prove me wrong. but his lakers rings were thanks to shaq as at the time he was young and shaq was in his prime.

4 - kevin garrnett - unfortunately he until last year was stuck in a situation where his supporting role was not enough (no 1 player has EVER taken his team to a championship, there has always been a supporting cast. allen iverson was the closest to ever do it but failed) but kevin is an amazing player and plays to win.

5 - lebron james - the reason i put him so low is unfortunately he hasnt YET proven to be higher than the others. however again he is so so very young and has plenty of time to prove me wrong and i tihnk he may.

6 - howard - i choose howard over chris paul as when was the last time a pg (not including tony parker as his supporting cast was DUNCAN and MANU just to name two) has lead thier team to a NBA championship?? without a big dominate pf or c or a super talented sg its hard for a pg to take a team all the way.

7 - paul, had my vote for MVP this year but i still put him in number 7 as he has only given me one season at this level ... its hard to argue that he will be better than the players above him.

in saying all that i like your question alot as it has made me wonder in 15 years time what would my list look like ... paul has the potential to become number 1 dont get me wrong

nice question ... but for now its hard to argue with the proven winner ...

shaq and TD in my eyes are by far the top two choices to lead a team from the age of 20 ... id take them as my one and two anyday.

add jordan to the list and i may have to leave my big men and say him ... but out of your list thats my decision.

  2. Kobe has proven himself while Lebron has much more potential.  None of the other players are really franchise players in the same respect.

Out of the two, I would pick Lebron simply because he has a better attitude.

  3. I would pick Shaq. He was a dominate force in his prime.

  4. Who cares! Everyone on your list except for Kobe is a ball hog who gets a lot of attention for doing something the rest of his team could do. Basketball players nowadays just can not even compare to Michael Jordan.

  5. lebron james he had the highest ppg in 07-08 30.0 points kobe had the second best ppg

  6. shaq hes like the top 10 players in nba histery

  7. Gotta go with Duncan. he is a big guy that even though he lacks the athleticism but he is the only player on the list who can win a championship with just a supporting cast. look at the spurs they have never missed the playoffs, had a lottery pick since duncan has been there, never had a losing season and drafted low every season but still are a threat in the west. plus duncan can win without any of the help that shaq and garnett would need

  8. KOBE BRYANT!!!!!!

  9. At twenty years old, I'd take Shaq. People forget, Shaq peaked early and looked nearly superhuman at LSU. No general manager would be able to pass up a twenty year old Shaq. The rest would go like such:

    2. LeBron - Nearly dead even with Shaq at twenty. Both were a physically dominating force with great basketball skills. But the tiebreaker goes to Shaq simple because he's a big man...a very big man.

    3. Duncan - He had post skills most big men don't develop until their late twenties, if at all. He also had those ridiculously long arms.

    4. Howard - An absolute beast, but he was rather short on post skills last year... that is, post skills that don't involve dunking on your head.

    5. Kevin Garnett - Had boatloads of talents, but when he came into the NBA, GMs wondered if he had a position. He was a bit too slow to small the three, and (supposedly), a bit too skinny to play the four.

    6. Kobe Bryant - We all see now what a great player he's become, but at twenty year old, he could have just as easily been in the same category as Vince Carter or Tracy McGrady. It turns out the difference was his obsessive work ethic.

    7. Chris Paul - Fast, six foot tall point guards are a dime a dozen in NBA drafts. Turns out Paul had basketball instinct second to none, and could run an offense like nobodys business. But at twenty years old, he didn't stand out a whole lot.

Keeping in mind, everyones twenty years old at the time.

  10. king james

  11. SHAQ ALL DAY

  12. Shaquille O'Neal, Hes the 4th best center in nba history.

  13. LeBron, he has the best abilities of all them...speed, good shooting, monster dunks, good assisting, rebounder, etc.

  14. Tim Duncan best in PF as well scoring

Kobe in 2nd pick if possible

  15. shaq baby
