Question:

Kodak Pictures---catastrophic failure?

I have a kodak EasyShare cx6445 digital camera and a SanDisk 256MB sd memory card. The memory card is full and i want to upload them to my computor. I know how and it works on my other memory card (PNY Technologies 128MB) but whenever I try to upload my pictures from my SanDisk one it starts off good but then Gives me a messege that says:

Transfer Interupted!

Reason: catastrophic failure

What is causing this?

  1. I don't know if you are using the Easyshare dock with your camera or if you are using an external card reader, such as on a printer.

    You might try an external card reader made by Lexar or similar. Also, make sure that the download software is good by uninstalling then reinstalling. Sometimes a faulty USB cable can be to blame, check if it's getting hot, that's bad. Try taking your SD card to Wal-mart, Walgreens, or CVS, they have photo printers that can read your card and copy it to a CD. When you are sucessful at downloading your images, be sure to format your card with your camera.
