Kodak dx7440 help cannot connect with computer?

i have a camera, the dx7440 by kodak, and i ahve the program installed, but everytime i plug it into my computer, it doesnt work. does anynow here have the step step for me on how to put my pictures on my camera to the computer? thanks

Connect the camera to the computer

turn the camera on

if the computer doesnt see it yet click start>my computer

if you cant see it listed there hit F5 (refresh)

if it still doesnt show up click start>control panel>

double click system

click device manager>f5

you should see it under imaging devices. You may need to tell the computer to update the driver or something

Or you could just simply get a $5 card reader and forget it.
