Kodak easyShare Z740 red light blinking and the camera turns off? whats the deal!!!?

I was using my my cam and it just turned off, im actually in another country right now so i dont have my dock with me to charge, so i took the usb plug i brought with my cam and pluged it into a comp ( laptop ) after i left it plugged for a night i turned it on, and it turned off after one pic.....does this mean it has not charge completely? cuz when it turns off as i stated the light is red and blinking.

This camera doesnt charge with the usb cable.  If you wish to keep taking pictures you will have to find some AA lithium batteries (takes 2 at a time) or a CRV3 battery(takes 1 at a time) to get you by.

Flat battery.

Have you charged the camera via USB cable before?

Some camera/USB connections are data only.

It WILL run on ordinary AA alkaline batteries.
