the cricketing legend.
“I feel really blessed when people start comparing me with Sachin, but I keep myself focused on my performance, and not on such comparisons,” said Kohli while speaking on an Indian television show. “I literally worship him, so, I don't see too much in this
comparison.”
Tendulkar, a veteran of 189 Tests and 463 ODIs, holds a number of records, among them the record for most Test runs (15489) and most ODI runs (18426). He added another spectacular record to his every-growing list earlier this year, when he scored his hundredth
ton, setting up a record for a hundred international centuries.
Although the senior cricketer has lauded the performances of Kohli, going on to add that he sees the young batsman as a worthy contender to his 100 centuries record, the 23-year-old has admitted that breaking such a record is a tall order, and he prefers
to focus on his performances as opposed to attempting to match up to the feats of the legendary batsman.
