  1. Sounds to me, like you have a form of algae growing, which could be caused by the food.

Koi ponds should be cleaned.  So maybe its just time to clean!

  2. we have a pond with a few koi and a dew goldfish, algae dosnt normally turn the water orange, algae is green and is like wee from the sides and is best to get it out as when the suns on it you get loads!

our pond has never turned orange before..so im guessing its the food. as long as the fish seem okay then dont worry too much

    ..x..

  3. ive never heard of orange alge, make sure you are not over feeding the fish , any un eaten food should be removed from the water. make sure there is no run off from other sources, water shouldnt be allowed to run into the pond from surrounding areas. also make sure no decaying plant matter is getting into the pond. leaves and decaying plants can give the water an orange tinge and also give off ammonia as they decay. its also worth tryin a different type of food if all other possibilities have been exhausted.

  4. I have try to used sera koi color yup it makes the water color orange.   Just do partail water change from time to time because not long water surface will become foamy.
