Aleksandr Kokorin has hailed his side’s win in the qualifying match of the World Cup and has commented on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-c9622 Ronaldo’s performance at Luzhniki stadium
Dynamo Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kerzhakov-c4569 at front.
Kokorin, who marked a successful debut for his national team after coming on as a second-half substitute in Russia’s 4-1 win over Czech Republic at Euro 2012, has hailed his side’s win against the Navigators and urged his team-mates
to extend their decent run in the tournament.
This win has now put http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello’s men right on top of their respective group table until their next qualifying match against Azerbaijan at Luzhniki stadium on Tuesday. As things stand, they are leading the standings with nine
points.
The Euro 2008 semi-finalists recorded their win after winning the opening two group stage matches against Northern Ireland and Israel national team respectively.
Kokorin went on to express his satisfaction over the refereeing decisions during the match, insisting that he is happy that the match officials made the right decisions at the right time during the match.
There is little arguing to the statement that Russia would have conceded an equalizer had their defence not acted accordingly. They had their nervy moments for arguably the last 30 minutes of the match.
And while the Portuguese enjoyed more ball possession late in the game, players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 tried to get a penalty after going down in the penalty box too easily during the enthralling encounter.
Kokorin revealed that he is glad to notice that the referee’s handled the match according to the rules and regulation.
“He is a great player but if something goes wrong, he fell down too easily on the ground to grab the attention of the referees. But in the end the referee’s, made the right decisions.” The former Lokomotiv Moscow player was quoted
as saying.
The 21-year-old went on to tell that Russia have now become the favourites to progress from the group stages of the tournament after defeating a difficult opponent.
