Aleksandr Kokorin believes that he is not likely to start the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against Rubin Kazan at Arena Khimki despite recovering from an ankle injury
Dynamo Moscow striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kokorin-c4576, has urged his side to sign a decent striker in the January transfer window, fearing who will score the goals in his absence.
The 21-year-old forward is out for an unidentified period after sustaining an ankle injury after Dynamo’s emphatic 5-1 win in the Russian Premier League against Spartak Moscow on Sunday.
Kokorin managed to compile a superb brace against Dynamo’s arch rivals before being replaced by Austrian winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jakob-Jantscher-c17611, on 63 minutes after picking up a knock on his right ankle.
Kokorin has now joined the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Otman-Bakkal-c28851 in the treatment room. Shunin sustained a foot injury during their 5-1 defeat against Zenit St. Petersburg, after being hit by a firecracker thrown from the stands.
“I am not sure whether I will play the upcoming match or not but I can tell you that I am working hard and doing everything possible to return faster.”
“Game against Rubin is always difficult but I think Dynamo have regained a good momentum which will help us get maximum points. We will play to win.” The former Lokomotiv Moscow player was quoted as saying.
At the moment, Dan Petrescu has just two strikers available at his disposal in his thin squad including Kokorin and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Kuranyi-c20736 after the former manager, Sergei Silkin, sent Andrei Voronin to Fortuna Düsseldorf on-loan this summer.
And while Kokorin is still a doubt for their upcoming league tie against Rubin Kazan on Saturday after picking up a knock, the Romanian tactician have no other options but to play Kuranyi up front.
Kokorin revealed that the Moscow-based club are in dire need to have another goal-scorer in the squad in case he is not available.
“Dynamo needs a striker.” Kokorin wrote on his twitter account.
If speculations are to be believed, the Moscow-based club are keeping tabs on FC Krasnodar’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yura-Movsisyan-c37665 after Slavoljub Muslin confirmed that the 25-year-old is likely to leave Kuban stadium this winter.
