Kolkata Knight Riders wicketkeeper Brad Haddin ruled out due to fractured finger – IPL news
Kolkata Knight Riders’ Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has been ruled out of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League due to a fractured finger.
Haddin was diagnosed with a fractured finger after he went for an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scan in New http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 on Thursday.
Haddin picked up the injury in Australia’s recently concluded tour of Bangladesh where the Aussies whitewashed the hosts in a three-match One Day International series. The reports of MRI confirmed the injury has not healed yet and playing further could aggravate
the situation.
The 33-year-old from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-South-Wales-c823 will now cut short his IPL campaign and would soon fly home to undergo surgery on his fractured finger.
Earlier Haddin missed Kolkata Knight Riders’ first three outings of the tournament as he was busy with the national side in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747. Since joining the Knight Riders, Haddin has played only one game for the franchise in which he failed to make an impact
both with bat and gloves.
In his lone appearance against Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Aussie wicketkeeper failed to remove even a single opposition batsman with gloves and scored only 18 runs as KKR lost the game by 9 wickets.
The Shah Rukh Khan-owned franchise had roped in the Australian player for $325,000 in the January 2011 auction.

“We will make an announcement on his replacement in due course,” opined Whatmore while talking to the media.
The franchise has so far played seven matches and is running against time to announce Haddin’s replacement as the IPL rules allow a side to replace its injured players only after playing eight games.
With 8 points in seven games, the Knight Riders stand second on the points table of the tournament. The side will next play Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 at home on Saturday.
