It is being reported that German international Lukas Podolski has agreed personal terms with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and is now set to leave Koln and move to the Emirates at the end of the season.
Arsenal have been in the hunt for German international, Lukas Podolski and from the way things are shaping up, the team could land the attacker at the end of the season.
Podolski’s contract with Koln is set to run out in 2013 and with the player yet to agree to a contract renewal, it is believed the German club are willing to let him leave, as they want to avoid losing him for free.
Koln were reportedly willing to double the player’s wages, in hopes of keeping him around at the club, but it seems like the striker has no interest in sticking around any longer.
At the same time, based on rumours, Podolski has agreed to move to Arsenal at the end of the season. The forward is yet to pen to paper on an official contract, but in theory he has agreed to move to North London.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 has been in brilliant form this season, with him scoring fifteen goals, while picking up four assists in games he played for Koln in the Bundesliga, this season.
Arsenal have been looking to bring in a player who can take some of the load off, of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 and Arsene Wenger seems to think Podolski is the ideal player to do so.
The attacker can play on the wing, behind a centre forward, or as a lone striker. As a result, he seems to be the ideal player to come in and mix things up at the Emirates.
However, with Podolski having failed in his previous moves to bigger clubs, many question whether the player will be able to contribute much to the Gunners.
Nonetheless, despite that fact, with Arsenal looking to finally invest in developed players, it seems like the team might finally be changing its tactics up a bit.
It is now going to be a wait till the end of the season to see just where Podolski ends up going and whether he leaves Koln or not.
