Are Koln/Koeln & Cologne the same city in Germany?

German "Köln" == French "Cologne" The British speak better French than German because Harold has lost the battle of Hastings and William has lived too long in Normandy and forgot his germanic (not german!!!) origin. Therfore the British also say Cologne. The Americans --- there were a very view to view german immigrants --- then the Americans would say "Köln" now they say Cologne. But the as I learned by YA "Krauts" that are the Amies.

    first it was called "oppidum ubiorum" then  "Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium" (or CCAA) later "Colonia Agrippina" and then "Coellen". The Kölner call her town 'Kölle'
