Koln’s Podolski denies Schalke link

FC Koln forward Lukas Podolski has denied a link from Bundesliga club Schalke and has committed his future to his current side.
Podolski played down rumours linking him to DFB-Pokal winners Schalke in the upcoming summer transfer window and has claimed that he is fully committed to Koln and will honour his current contract with the club. The striker insisted
that he has not thought about his future and wants to focus on his performances for the club.
The German international has been in staggering form this season and has already scored an impressive 13 goals in the Bundesliga this season. He is only behind Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez and Schalke’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Klaas-Jan-Huntelaar-c21175. The

Podolski claimed that he is happy at Koln and is enjoying his time at the club. He admitted that he is delighted with the brilliant goal scoring form he is in and wants to continue finding the net in the future games as well.
The former Bayern Munich player insisted that he still has one and a half years left on his contract and stated that he will definitely honour it. He added that he will only decide in 2013 whether to stay or move on to any other
side.  
“I am just enjoying my football and I want to be successful and score goals, and if in the end everything is right, then we are all happy. I still have one and a half years on my contract and if I decide in one and a half years,
then so be it,” the player was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Polish born striker denied that he has discussed terms with Schalke for a possible switch to Veltins-Arena this January and stated that there has been no contact.
“I have not made up my mind yet. One and a half years are a long time for a lot of thoughts,” he concluded.
