Manchester City’s captain and Belgian international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincent-Kompany-c36184 has admitted that he expects big things from the club in the coming season and feels the Manchester based club is bound to improve with time.
Despite City having come out on top at the end of the previous season, it seems like Kompany is still stuck in the moment, as he can’t quite get over what happened. The defender has admitted that the manner in which the team won the league was unbelievable
and that the team is going to be looking to build on the success that they achieved last season.
The defender is reported to have said: “There’s so much more great stuff ahead of us, and that’s what interests me”
“If you lay down the right foundations, you can be successful for a long time and that’s the aim.
“I’ve been to far too many places to remember this summer, but the main thing is that everywhere I’ve been, everyone had apparently seen the game or heard about that last day of the season, so you do realise that now we’ve made an impact worldwide.”
“The last game of the season is one that will remain a very strong part of our history.”
He then admitted that the team and the fans will be talking about the game against QPR for at least another hundred years, simply because of how it has changed the fortunes of the club.
However, the team is now set to go on and participate in their pre season tour, starting in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the Community Shield game.
Should the team be able to come out on top in those games, they will go into the coming season brimming with confidence.
Nonetheless, even if those game don’t play out in City’s favour, they are still going to go into the season as the reigning champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
That is something that is going to push the players to perform even better, as the team looks to try and perform even better in the upcoming term.
