Konica minolta bizhub 501

Question

When in the copy screen it won't let me copy from the platen glass. Also the adf even in simplex will run as if duplex was activated but still only copies simplex. But when I scan to desktop or email it scans from the platen just fine.The firmware is only 2 weeks old andthe copier is 3 weeks old. Any ideas?
