Konrad Czerniak wins Men’s 100m freestyle gold: Day four – Polish LC Championships
Konrad Czerniak of KS Wisla Pulawy won gold medal of the Men’s 100m freestyle on fourth day of the Polish Long Course Championships in Olsztyn, Poland on May 15.
Czerniak faced no trouble in securing top position of the 100m discipline as he stayed considerably ahead of his competitors from the start and surfaced on the podium for gold medal.
With his immaculate efforts, he stayed almost two seconds ahead of his strongest challenger and tapped the wall for the title of the discipline by posting a time of 50.49 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Kacper Majchrzak of K.S. Warta Poznarn, who remained 0.12 seconds slower and settled on the victory stand for second position by posting a time of 50.61 seconds.
The silver medallist was chased by Dawid Zielinski of MKP Szczecin, who was 0.24 seconds away from overpowering his former finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 50.85 seconds for bronze medal.
Fourth position of the discipline was secured by Marcin Unold of AZS-AWF Katowice, who stayed 0.10 seconds slower the bronze medallist and emerged on the finishing blockade by submitting a time of 50.95 seconds.
With his persistent efforts, Unold remained 0.37 seconds faster from Pawel Werner of MKS Juvenia Wroclaw, who ended his swim in fifth best place by reporting a time of 51.32 seconds.
Similarly, the crowd experienced gruelling efforts of Marcin Tarczynski, of Uks Kapry-Armexim Pruszkow, who stayed only 0.06 seconds apart and emerged on the finishing end with the timing of 51.38 seconds.
Subsequently, Seventh best spot of the race was secured by Michal SO Poprawa of AZS-AWF Katowice, who stayed just an inch slower from his foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 51.39 seconds.
Last spot of the race was obtained by Radoslaw SZG Bor of Korner Zielona Gora, who stayed almost two strokes apart and posted 51.66 seconds for eighth position.
The championship completed after the conclusion of all listed events in Men and Women’s category while the position holders were invited on the victory stand for awards and accolades after the session.
