http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 midfielder, Koo Ja-Cheol, has expressed his delight after a successful loan spell with FC Augsburg. The South Korean helped the Fuggerstadter after scoring five goals for the club from 15 outings.
Cheol had a contrasting campaign for both the clubs and his fortunes certainly changed after his spell with Augsburg. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jeju-United-c39602 player was not even considered as a first-team regular at Wolfsburg by Felix Magath but
his success at Augsburg has prompted interest from no less than three clubs in Korea.
The 23-year-old also showed his pleasure after achieving something of note with Augsburg. He showed gratitude to the club officials for acknowledging his talent and the manager for believing in him after the difficult times at
the Volkswagen Arena.
While talking to reporters on his return to Seoul, the midfielder further added: "After going to Augsburg, the coach acknowledged my talent and had belief in me. I wanted to play like I did in the K-League, and I think playing
with Augsburg has provided me a stepping stone. I always played with the mindset that I will smile when I go back to my country.”
On the other hand, the South Korea international admitted that Augsburg want to sign him permanently from Wolfsburg for next season. He also revealed an interest from Die Wolfe, who are keen to retain him after underestimating
his abilities before loaning him to Augsburg.
However, the 2010 K-League runner-up specified that he is yet to decide about his future. He told that it is an honour for him to have attracted interest from a host of clubs but will only decide about his future once he’ll be
back from his vacations from his home town.
"I know Augsburg wants to sign me in a permanent transfer while Wolfsburg wants me to come back and prepare for next season with them. I also heard there is a third club that wants to sign me. But I haven’t yet confirmed my future
and I need some time to think about it."
The Korean was the Asian Cup top scorer in 2011. He was included in the K-League Best XI in 2010 and was also the top assistor during the same year.
