Malaysia’s Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong showed their elite skills as they surged into Men’s Doubles semi-final after toppling Korea’s Dae Eun Kim and Sang Joon Lee at the quarter-final stage in Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold 2012 in Malaysia, on Friday, May 4.
Boon Heong and Kien Keat, who are top seeds in the main draw of Men’s Doubles category at Malaysia Open, showed their confident attitude in the court as they did not show even a slight mercy to their rivals and won the contest easily.
The World Number 8 Boon Heong and Kien Keat have a golden opportunity to win this home tournament ahead of Olympic Games as it will put them on the right track.
The higher ranked Malaysians were just impressive in the court as they played with confidence and did not spare any chance for their Korean opponents to dominate the pace.
The top seeds won this quarter-final battle in an inspiring manner in straight games by taking just 27 minutes.

After the break, they continued their power play and cheered their home fans by ending the second game with a one-sided score of 21-12.
Boon Heong and Kien Keat won this 27-minute quarter-final encounter in straight games with a 21-14 and 21-12 margin on the board.
