1 for the English (or anyone else) - What do you think of Darren Gough's decision to retire from all First Class cricket? what do you think of Darren Gough as a player?? and could he have achieved more success in his England career? (e.g did he make the most of talent)

1 for the Indians (or anyone else)- Who's going to win the IPL??. Which English player would you most like to see play in the IPL next year?? AND who's the better bowler RP Singh or Sreesanth??

1 for everybody- What do you think of me as a user??

Thanks from The People's Champ

  1. 1. the biggest compliment i can pay Gough is that in a underperforming side, he played like an Australian, which from this part of the world (even tho i may not sound like it to some) is a massive compliment!! in a side that was consistently being beaten, he played like a winner, he'd puff out that big chest of his, bound in and try as hard as he could to get his side to a win and the bugger never gave up! one of only 2 poms i've ever seen play and gone "Jeez i wish he was an Aussie!" (the other being Flintoff, d**n we could do with an all-rounder as good as him!!)

    2. even tho they got beaten by Punjab last night, i think Rajistan will beat Punjab in the final, RP Singh is in better form than Sreesanth at the moment, i wouldnt say Flintoff as the Pom i'd like to see in the MMC (Mickey Mouse Cup)/IPL as i think i'd rather see him concentrate on keeping a place in the england side as they will always be a better side with him in there and fit, so i'd say Pietersen would be the one, i dare say hed cause opposing teams alot of trouble in the MMC, tho personally, i'd prefer it, if it never happened again, but thats just personal opinion

3......well, personally, your a bloody biased Pommie!! i mean wanting Warne to one day coach england (yeah i remember you sayin that!)!! mate h**l will freeze over before that happens (at least i hope so LOL),  but nah seriously your good, like your questions so much better than all these MMC/IPL questions!! and your answers are always good

  2. i think rajastan royals will win becoz of their 7 wins at home. i would like to see flintoof in the ipl, and i tink sreesanth is a better bowler.

ur a good user and u deserve ur orange tag.

    ^_^

  3. Darren Gough: The time is right for him to retire. His body has been struggling for years, and he has probably reached a point where he just can't go on any longer. I thought he was a wonderful player, who played with his heart and soul (he played because he enjoyed playing). He could have achieved more in his England career had central contracts been around in his younger days, when he was poorly looked after. He could have achieved 400+ Test wickets, and probably have done more with his batting. But life is full of "if only's", and he achieved much more than many. I don't think he can look back with any regrets.

    IPL: I......don't...............care............

I would not like to see any English player in the IPL next year, they should be concentrating on regaining the Ashes.

You as a user? I think that really depends on your mood. You are very knowledgeable, but have a tendency to sulk if you don't get your own way, or if people have different opinions to you. Just your age, I suppose. Don't worry, we can cope. (Can't wait to count the thumbs down for this one!)

1 Darren who? Sorry don't hear of him.

2 Twenty20 is absolute lottery no body can predict who's gonna win. Whoever play batter that day have chance. Kevin Peterson & Andrew Flintoff are pretty famous here as big hitter.

3 You're not the only champ here anymore. ;)

  5. Gough has done his bit for England & obviously wants to retire. Dont know about IPL at all. And KooKee, you are indeed the people's champ & I cannot believe there is anyone here who dislikes you. May you go on to a 1,000 Qs!

  6. 1.i think nothing...sorry kookee..i dont know much about him:)

    2.i think Kings XI punjab will win,Paul Collingwood,Ryan Sidebottom,KP and Flintoff.Sreesanth.

3.i like your answers, you are very knowledgeable, and i like your edits when fighting with someone..lol

  7. sorry dont have much time.....if i say you're my hero would i get best answer? lol jokes...darren gough was a decent player (not great but decent) he was definitely a stalwart for england though but you know when a players time comes only he knows it..rajasthan will probably clinch the ipl they've been the most consisntent.. kevin pietersen should be in the ipl his batting aggression and flair will definitely be a great addition to the tournament. sreesanth is a better bowler when he's concentrating on his cricket not his antics...peace

  8. Gough its time for him to retire

    1. Darren Gough served his country with pride and passion. Played during the times when the English were not a formidable unit in Test Match arena and usually ended up on the losing side, but held his head high and kept in running hard in the adverse of conditions and hostile environments. Hats off to the guy

    2. Rajhistan Royals, KP, and RP Singh

    3. Enchanting and Knowledgeable

  10. 1. Dont care

    2. Kings XI punjab

    3. Dont care

  11. 1. I had read in some Indian newspaper that Darren Gough was expecting a call to play in the IPL. He was the England spearhead in the late 90's and was quite successful in his stint. But, I feel he was a much better bowler than what his stats speak of.

2.I hope Mumbai qualify and win the IPL...if they go through  in to  the semis...then they get a gr8 advantage of playing at home with crowd cheering them all the time.

But favorites are definitely Rajasthan or Mohali because of their consistency.

I am looking forward to seeing KP, Flintoff, Collingwood in the IPL. What say??

Both are young talented bowlers of Indian team....Sree has been the in-form bowler in the IPL...but both are good on their days!
