Kordere NR Kalkan Turkey?

Question

Can anybody tell me where Kordere is in relation to Kalkan? How far is it from Kalkan, Can you walk to Kalkan from there and what is at Kordere? Thanks. All information gratefully recieved.

According to Google Earth, Kordere is about 1km, as the crow flies, uphill from the harbour area of Kalkan, in the foothills of the Taurus mountains. It's on the other side of the main road that goes south towards Kas. The hill is very steep. The road is heavy with traffic. My best guess is that you could walk down in about 15-20 minutes and up in perhaps twice that.

There are two holiday villas in Kordere advertised here:

http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/kordere... one says it's 2.5kms from Kalkan, the other says 5. I assume that is the distance by road so if you walk that way it will take longer.

I don't know that there is anything in Kordere itself apart from holiday homes, nothing else showed up after an extensive internet search. Kalkan has a small number of bars, restaurants, cafes etc., a harbour, beautiful scenery, sun and sea. It isn't a major resort but has been increasingly popular with tourists for about 20 years.
