Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012: Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo ousts Myung Gyun Joo in Men’s Singles first round
Indonesia’s emerging player Wisnu Yuli Prasetyo showed a strong character in the arena as he played with tremendous speed and ousted his local rival Myung Gyun Joo in Men’s Singles first round at Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Tuesday, December 4, in Korea.
Indonesian shuttler entered into the court in a confident way and played with impressive speed in the arena. He did not show any mercy to his Korean opponent and ended up the contest in just 23 minutes.
Wisnu Yuli started his campaign in an aggressive fashion as he did not show any mercy to his local challenger and remained successful in grabbing a comprehensive victory by finishing up the match in straight sets.
Meanwhile, Myung Gyun tried his best to put up strong show but he failed to dominate the pace as his Indonesian rival was quick in taking the bird. He could not cheer up his home crowd and crashed out without taking any game.
In the first game, Indonesian man delivered extremely well from the initial points as he showed his lofty skills and took over the control.
The speed of the rallies was very fast in first game and Wisnu Yuli did not show any sign of confusion in front of the Korean crowd that gathered to support Myung Gyun.
Indonesian shuttler did not show any respect to his local rival in the first part and secured a decent lead in the game until the one-minute break.
After the one-minute break, Wisnu Yuli stayed focused on court and remained successful in maintaining a sound difference.
Wisnu Yuli did not reduce the pace of the game at any stage and easily took the opening game with a staggering 21-16 score on the board.
In the second set, Wisnu Yuli played with superb speed without leaving any chance for Myung Gyun to find a good flow.
The cracking smashes and net killings kept Wisnu Yuli ahead of his rival all the way until the one-minute break in second game.
Wisnu Yuli continued putting up sound show in the concluding part of second game and remained successful in winning the set with a stunning margin of 21-6.
Indonesian shuttler easily bagged victory in Men’s Singles first round as he ended up the fight with a 21-16 and 21-6 score on the board.
