Korea Grand Prix Gold: Sung Min Park thrashes Sainbuyan Purevsuren in Men’s Singles first round
Korea’s talented player Sung Min Park cheered his home fans as he showed his elevated craft in Men’s Singles first round when he thrashed Mongolia’s Sainbuyan Purevsuren at the Korea Grand Prix Gold 2012 in Korean, on Tuesday, December 4.
The experienced Korea shuttler was in superb form in the arena as he played fast and positive badminton and took just 18 minutes to show exit to his lower ranked Mongolian rival without facing any trouble.
Sung Min showed urgency in taking control of rallies and he remained in dominating position all the way to end up this opening round clash in a one-sided fashion with a huge margin on the score board.
On the other hand, the un-seeded Sainbuyan failed to play positive badminton as he could not stay focused and committed many unforced errors. He conceded too many points by executing negative shots and eventually lost the battle in a lopsided fashion.
It was a wonderful fight in the starting rallies when Sung Min showed a wonderful display of his craft in the arena.
Korean shuttler kept the speed of the rallies very fast in first set and impressed local crowd with his tremendous craft without losing his focus at any stage.
The in-form Sung Min did not show any sign of confusion as he remained in complete command of the pace and set up a huge lead until the one-minute break.
After the break, the local shuttler continued his positive play without showing any mercy to his rival at any stage.
Sung Min showed no respect to Sainbuyan in the concluding part of opening game and remained successful in winning it with a crushing 21-4 difference on the board.
In the second game, the lofty Sung Min played with sound speed without sparing any chance for his Mongolian rival to get a good flow.
The perfectly executed smashes of Sung Min helped him to maintain his pressure on his opponent all the way until the end of opening half when he was miles ahead.
Korean shuttler was quick and positive on court in the concluding half of second set and won the second set with a stunning margin of 21-4.
Sung Min easily stamped his mark over Sainbuyan in straight games in just 18 minutes with a crushing 21-4 and 21-4 margin on the board.
