Korea Open 2013: Yong Zhao Ashton Chen beats Misha Zilberman to surge into Men’s Singles main round
Singapore’s emerging player Yong Zhao Ashton Chen proved his mettle on court and advanced into Men’s Singles main round after defeating Israel’s Misha Zilberman in qualifying round clash at Victor Korea Open 2013 on Tuesday, January 8, in Korea.
The impressive Yong Zhao, who has been playing competitive badminton for the last one year, showed a great performance in the arena and he easily crushed Zilberman while taking only 29 minutes.
Yong Zhao played with remarkable speed and precision in his shots and remained successful in winning this last match in qualifying round in straight sets with a completely dominating margin on the score board.
On the other hand, Zilberman tried his level best to play aggressive game but he failed to match the incredible speed and accuracy of his challenger and eventually went down against Yong Zhao in a lopsided fashion.
The in-form Yong Zhao played with superb control in his shots and managed to control the affairs from starting points of the first set.
The tempo of the rallies was quite fast in first game and Yong Zhao entertained local fans with his lofty craft.
It was Yong Zhao who did not show any mercy to his aggressive rival in the starting half and secured a superb lead on score board.
After the mid-game break, Yong Zhao was focused in the arena and remained successful in keeping a reasonable lead.
It was a smooth sailing for the impressive Yong Zhao who did not face any reasonable resistance from his rival and won the first game with a staggering 21-6 margin on the board.
Zilberman was once again in problem in the following set as he received a punishing treatment from his challenger who was at his best in the arena.
Yong Zhao was in incredible control of the game and he remained successful in establishing a staggering difference until the one-minute break.
In the ending half of second game, the incredible Yong Zhao continued his smooth sailing and easily bagged the game by a superb score of 21-14.
The passionate Yong Zhao remained successful in winning this qualifying round encounter in just 29 minutes with a crushing 21-6 and 21-14 total on the score board.
