Korea Open Premier Super Series: Lee Chong Wei topples Hsuan Yi Hsueh in Men’s Singles first round
Malaysia’s impressive shuttler, Lee Chong Wei, has powered his way into Men’s Singles second round as he has toppled Hsuan Yi Hsueh of Chinese Taipei in the first round of the 2012 Korea Open Premier Super Series, in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday, January

Chong Wei, who is the top seed in Korea Open, played with wonderful ease as he did not face any problem in beating the Taipei shuttler. The Malaysian consumed just 33 minutes in the court and ended the straight-set fight in style.
Hsuan Yi tried to play aggressive badminton at the opening stage in the first half but soon gave up as his higher ranked challenger was flawless in the execution of strokes. The Taipei shuttler lost the first game with a one-sided score.
The Taipei shuttlers played well in the second game but again failed to dominate the pace of the game and lost it with a decent score on the board.
Chong Wei started his journey at the Korea Open in style as he played with superb speed and his control over the pace of the bird was impressive. He took no time in establishing his position as he score six consecutive points to reach at 6-0.
The Malaysian was quite confident as his body language was positive and he played with precision. Throughout the opening game, Chong Wei did not spare any chance for his Taipei opponent to level the score. He finished up the opening set with a one-sided
score of 21-11.
In the following game, Hsuan Yi played well as he matched the speed of his opponent and remained close. However, he failed to get even a small lead in the whole set as his rival was in complete control of the game.
Chong Wei was quite relaxed in the whole second game and dictated his opponent in all areas of the court. He remained positive and did not play risky strokes and took the second game with a comfortable score of 21-16.
The World Number One won his first match of the tournament in style by a margin of 21-11 and 21-16.
