The Korean defensive expert did exceptionally well and saved crucial points. Moreover, Hong-Suk Choi supported Korea with exquisite shots and the team led the score at first technical timeout (8-7). “We are really happy to win tonight. It was a great game. We just focused tonight and I hope this isn’t the last match with this team and Philippe. I am really happy and proud for these three days and it was hard since we didn’t qualify for the Olympics,” said French captain Pierre Pujol after the match.
The mentor of French team Philippe Blain stated: “It was a serious match for us. We played at a good level. We did our job to advance in the tournament so we will now wait for the USA and Italy match.”
Korean coach Ki-Won Park revealed that his team was disappointed after a series of losses in the previous matches. They played half-heartedly and could not overcome the stronger opponent.
