Korean Red Pepper paste?

What do I use it for? I bought some the other week and it looks tastey.

  1. Add it to soups or sauces, stirfries, eggs....where ever you want some kick.


  2. is wonderful delicious on any item of food.  we mix it with goat milk and boil for extra tasty dessert treat.

The first lady is right the second responce makes no sence??, I am a former chef from Canada and use it quite alot, I go to my local Korean shopping area here in Toronto Canada, I buy the ones in tubes like toothpaste, Komijan is good in seasoning food, like marinates, as said a kick to stir frys, as a base ingredient in making the Korean Pickled Cabbage "Kimchi", on fish before you bake or steam, added to soft butter and tossed with fresh cooked veg.

    Becareful it can be spicy, depending on the brand you bought, gage it on your spice meter, I like it and ifnd it as useful as the Chinese Garlic-Chili paste, only Komijan seems to have more of a complex flavour.
