there is Korean guy I like because he is smart. Before school start he is always in the cafeteria studying math and he leaves very early to be in class. My Korean friends (girls) never hang out with that many guys and they never go up to guys. So I wonder if he would think it's weird if a girl went up to him. I always look at him for some reason I can't help it. So finally awhile ago I did go up to him with my friend and we invited him to go to the library with us but he said no because he had to leave early, he told us he was from Korea. This morning when I went to the cafeteria I was looking for my friend and he looked straight at me....I was told that if a guy looks at you back for awhile when you look at him, that's a good sign..so like..I have no idea ..is that normal Korean thing? Please tell me anything about Korean guys that might help me out..

  1. It's funny the guy what the guy above me said.  But I saw to high school kids walking together hand and hand, and they had couple's rings on.  This was in Seoul of course.  You would be surprised at the number of abortions there are among middle school and high school girls here in Korea.  Do some research on Naver and you'll find out.

  2. Uh... first of all, Koreans aren't all that into dating in high school unlike the US, because they have SO much STUDYING to DO!

    So, if you are like 15, I would wait a little bit longer until you are in university.

    Hope I helped.

  3.   He may be interested in you, but here are some cultural things to know about native Koreans;

      1. Many high school students don't date, or are not allowed to by their parents.  A student's job is to study and get into the best university they can, so dating is considered a waste of time.

    2. He maybe afraid that his English is not good enough.

    3. Korean men can be very clumsy when it comes to approaching women.

    4. Family is everything in Korea. It is considered a "shame" to be adopted. If someone is adopted they keep it a secret. Recently I was "fake" family for a friend at his wedding, so that the bride's friends and family wouldn't know the "shame" of her marrying a man that had no family.

    Hope this helps
