Korean student VISA processing?

Question

I am going to study in Korea August 2008, but I want to go to Korea in late May. Can I have my Student Visa processed in Korea?

After it is processed, do I have to leave the country and come back for it to go into use?

I hope i understood your question but the general thing is that most visas need to be processed before you can enter the country. Which means that you'll need to have the korean embassy in your country give you a visa that'll allow you to enter korea.

yes... you can enter on a tourist visa and then switch it to a student...  but you have to leave th country.
