Kosaki’s Smart Falcon aiming for a victory in the Dubai World Cup looking to give Japan another win
Smart Falcon will be competing in the Dubai World Cup scheduled to take place on 31st March, 2012. The seven-year-old horse has been given the go-ahead and is all set to compete in up-coming race.
The Japanese horse trained by Ken Kosaki and owned by Toru Okawa is expected to perform brilliantly in this.
With Victoire Pisa’s victory in the World Cup last year, it is believed that Smart Falcon will perform in the same manner.
Victoire Pisa, also from Japan, triumphed in the Dubai World Cup, sponsored by Emirates Airline, at Meydan on 26th March, 2011.
Smart Falcon has an impressive record with many terrific victories, including six Grade 1 first place finishes.
He will be coupled with jockey, Yutaka Take, and will be entering the race with odds of 6 to 1 as a second favourite, while So You Think is gaining popularity among the bookmakers.
Kosaki is pleased with his form as he told the press:
"He is well-set because he had a good seasoning over the winter - I just hope I can get him to Dubai in this sort of shape."
Smart Falcon is getting the punters excited as his previous races speak for themselves.
He succeeded over Renforcer by 4 lengths in the Grade 1 Kawasaki Kinen Stakes which he entered with odds of 1 to 10 as race favourite, which took place at Kawasaki on 25th January, 2012.
This seasonal debut gave the trainer an idea if his horse could compete in the Dubai World Cup.
It cleared all doubts Kosaki had about his form and skill.
With his impressive track record and increasing popularity, it would be a let-down for the horse-racing enthusiasts and the bookies, if Smart Falcon was to be scratched from the race.
The son of Gold Allure, out of Keishu Herb, closed 2011 in an impressive manner as well as he defeated Wonder Acute by a near negligible distance of a nose, in the Grade 1 Tokyo Daishoten in Ohi, Japan, on 29th December 2011.
The world’s richest race will take place at Meydan which will be enjoyed by fans of this sport.
The spectators and bookmakers from Japan look particularly excited as they are hoping they can bag another victory.
